Josh Fanopoulos is a semi-professional stock car racing driver who competed in ARCA Menards West, a national single-class oval racing series that fields amateur and semi-professional drivers alongside established professionals. He raced for Stoney's Roadhouse Idaho and Certified Services, fielded by John Wood, in 2021.[1]
Fanopoulos completed one indexed season in 2021, starting five times in ARCA Menards West and finishing 21st in the championship standings. He raced exclusively on ovals throughout that campaign. Among his results was a finish ahead of Jesse Love, the two-time ARCA Menards West champion who went on to win the 2023 ARCA Menards Series and 2025 NASCAR Xfinity championship, and he also beat Dean Thompson, a professional with substantial experience in NASCAR Truck and Xfinity series.[2]
Fanopoulos regularly raced against Love and Thompson during his season; however, he typically finished behind both drivers, who represented the strongest calibre of competition in his field. His single indexed season of five starts marked his recorded racing activity, after which he stepped back from the sport.
