Jukka Nieminen was a competitive amateur racing in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie, a national multiclass endurance championship run at the Nürburgring in which amateurs and semi-professionals share grids with graded professionals. He raced Porsche 911 GT3 Cup and Cayman GT4 Clubsport cars across three seasons from 2012 to 2014, primarily for raceunion Teichmann Racing.[1]
Nieminen made nine starts across the series and took one podium finish. He finished 17th in the 2014 championship standings in his final season of racing on record.[2]
Nieminen typically finished behind the regular semi-professional opposition he faced most often, including the Groneck brothers, both multiple class champions in the series. He finished ahead of professional driver Lorenzo Rocco once and beat Dirk Groneck on one occasion, though Groneck went on to claim three consecutive class titles in the Langstrecken-Serie.
