Karel Staut is an entry-level professional competing in national sprint racing in the United States. He races a Porsche 992 in the P/A class of the Porsche Sprint Challenge North America GT3 Cup for Kellymoss, an established team that fields drivers across multiple series and counts an established professional among its roster.[1]
His first indexed season came in 2025 in USF Juniors, a single-class open-wheel championship where he made six starts and finished 15th in the final standings. He has since moved to the Porsche Sprint Challenge, where he has dominated the P/A class through nine rounds in 2026, taking eight wins from eight podiums. His performance includes multiple races swept in the same weekend and victories in varied conditions. The only blemish in his GT3 Cup season came at COTA in May when his winning streak was broken in a chaotic weekend.[2]
His closest regular opponents in the GT3 Cup, Matthew Siegal and Blake McGovern, are both entry-level or semi-professional drivers with Porsche and road-racing experience, and Staut finishes ahead of them consistently. In USF Juniors he raced against Leonardo Escorpioni, the 2025 champion of that series and a driver with extensive single-seater and kart credentials across 32 USF Juniors starts, and beat him once; he also finished ahead of Patricio Gonzalez, another semi-regular competitor in USF Juniors with experience in GB3, three times across their meetings.
