Kiel Spaulding was a competitive amateur kart racer who competed in the SKUSA SuperNationals between 2008 and 2012, achieving a rating of 2,672. This level indicates a driver racing consistently within club and regional competition, capable of occasional strong results in amateur fields but not competing regularly among professionals. Over six starts across five seasons, Spaulding recorded one win and four podium finishes, averaging a finishing position of P8.7.[1]

Spaulding's record against regular rivals placed him squarely in the competitive amateur band. He finished ahead of Louie Pagano, Mason Chelootz, Bailey Murphy and Reid Arnold more often than behind them, though the margins were narrow; he was slightly behind Austin Self across their three shared races. These opponents all competed at similar skill levels.
