Linda Lemelin is a developing-level driver racing in national amateur and semi-professional multiclass sprint competition. She races the SM class, which runs spec 1990–2005 Mazda MX-5 Miatas, in SCCA regional and major championships across the United States. Her indexed career runs from 2021 to 2023.[1]
Lemelin started with two SCCA Majors starts in 2021, then moved to SCCA Regionals for an eight-start campaign in 2022 and 2023. She finished 100th in the Regionals championship standings across those two seasons. In her recorded racing she has finished ahead of Matthew Payne, an established professional graded FIA Gold with 99 Supercars Championship starts and international endurance racing experience, twice, and beaten entry-level professional Reinhold Krahn twice as well.[2]
Her typical competition in the SM class comes against club-level drivers with substantially more seat time. She usually finishes behind Zack Barfield and Alfredo Zedan, both of whom are club regulars with 20 or more regional starts each and extensive experience across multiple series.
