🇮🇹 Luca Persiani

Persiani was an entry-level professional racing in national multiclass endurance and pro-am series, holding an FIA Silver grading. He competed for Dream Racing Motorsport across IMSA WeatherTech, where he drove GT3 machinery in the GTD class, and in Lamborghini Super Trofeo championships, piloting Huracán Super Trofeo cars in the ProAm class.[1]

His career spanned from 2004 to 2021 across five seasons of racing, totalling 13 starts. Early in his record he took two entries in Formula Renault Eurocup in 2004 and 2005 with BVM Racing. His endurance work came primarily between 2016 and 2021, with seven starts in IMSA WeatherTech paired with two appearances in Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo and two further starts in Lamborghini Super Trofeo NA, where he finished ninth in championship standings in his final season. He scored one podium finish across all starts, achieved in Blancpain Super Trofeo in 2016.[2]

Persiani shared grids with established professionals and Gold-graded drivers throughout his endurance career. In IMSA WeatherTech he raced regularly against Jens Klingmann, an accomplished endurance professional who competes at a significantly higher level; Persiani typically finished behind Klingmann but was closely matched with him on occasion. He also faced Bryan Sellers, a two-time IMSA WeatherTech GTD champion who dominated their head-to-head meetings. In his Formula Renault entries, Persiani finished ahead of Davide Valsecchi, the 2012 GP2 champion, and Jaime Alguersuari, a former Formula 1 driver, though each meeting represented a single race among limited outings.
