Christiaan Frankenhout is a retired Dutch sportscar driver who competed at professional level in endurance racing. Holding FIA Silver grading, which marks a professional-level driver typically early in their career, Frankenhout made two starts in 2019. He raced once in GT World Challenge Europe and once in the Nรผrburgring 24 Hours, the latter for Hofor-Racing, a small team with no race wins in the index. He finished with an average position of 26th and recorded no wins or podiums across his brief competitive record.[1]
The notable aspect of Frankenhout's limited career record is the calibre of drivers he encountered. In his two outings he finished ahead of multiple FIA-graded professionals, including the Platinum-rated Tsugio Matsuda (a one-time champion) and Kelvin van der Linde (also Platinum and a former champion), as well as Gold-rated drivers Katsumasa Chiyo and Jordan Pepper. These were isolated results rather than consistent patterns given his small sample size, but they demonstrate that he competed in fields populated by internationally experienced drivers despite his own brief tenure in racing.
