Mark J Thomas is a professional endurance racing driver competing in multiclass sportscar championships. He races for Mühlner Motorsport, most recently piloting a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup in the 992 class of the 24H Series.[1]
Thomas has four starts across three series since 2007. He contested the FIA GT Championship twice in 2007 and 2008 for Mühlner Motorsport, then appeared in IMSA WeatherTech once in 2014, finishing 36th in the championship standings. After a decade away from indexed racing, he returned to compete in the 24H Series in 2026.[2]
In endurance racing that mixes amateurs and established professionals on the same grids, Thomas typically finishes behind stronger competitors. He has raced against Patrick Long and Richard Lietz, both FIA Platinum-graded professionals with extensive experience in international sportscar series including WEC and IMSA; both have generally finished ahead of him. Thomas has beaten established professionals including Fabrizio Gollin, the 2004 FIA GT Championship champion, and Paul Belmondo, who has driven in Formula 1.
