Robert Reed is a competitive amateur racing solo sprint events in national American multiclass championships. He competes primarily in SCCA Majors and SCCA Regionals, driving one-design Spec Racer Ford sports racers in the SRF3 class, with occasional starts in NASA's Spec Miata class.[1]
His record spans from 2014 to the present across 27 starts, with three wins and six podiums concentrated in SCCA Regionals where he has taken all three victories and five of his six podiums. He has made 16 starts in SCCA Majors since 2021, eight in SCCA Regionals between 2022 and 2025, two in NASA in 2014, and one appearance at the SCCA Runoffs in 2020.[2]
Reed runs closely with Jeffrey Lehner, a fellow competitive amateur regular across SCCA Majors and Regionals, and typically finishes ahead of Patrick Stringer, a club-level driver in the same series. He has beaten entry-level professionals in individual races, including Jim Cox, who competes in IMSA prototype racing, and Evan Slater, who races in Trans-Am and national-level series.
