Sam Shahin is a competitive amateur racing driver competing in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup, a one-make series where he has recorded 14 starts across the 2024 and 2025 seasons. His Racer Rating of 2,539 places him in the competitive amateur band, the level of drivers who race regularly against professionals but typically finish outside the sharp end of those fields. Shahin has not won a race or scored a podium finish in the series and averages a finishing position of P20.9 across his classified starts.[1]

Shahin races for GP Elite and has faced a consistent field of professional and graded drivers in his outings. His head-to-head record against the regular rivals in the series tells a clear story; he has finished ahead of FIA Silver-graded Huub van Eijndhoven once in 14 races but trails significantly against the Gold-graded drivers who dominate the field, including 2025 series champion Alessandro Ghiretti and Robert de Haan, each of whom he has finished behind in thirteen races. He has had isolated moments of success against stronger competition, including a single finish ahead of Timo Glock, a former GP2 Series champion with a Platinum grade, and has beaten the FIA Silver-graded Horst-Felix Felbermayr twice. These remain exceptions in a career characterised by mid-pack finishes in a field of much stronger, professional-level drivers.[2]
