F1 Academy is a female-only single-seater sprint championship founded by the Formula One Group, run in spec machinery with identical Tatuus F4-T421 chassis and Pirelli tyres. The field is entry-level professional, with a median driver rating near that of GB4 but notably below Italian F4 and W Series. Top drivers include Doriane Pin, Maya Weug and Alisha Palmowski. The series functions as a stepping stone, drawing drivers chiefly from Italian F4 and W Series and feeding them toward GB3 and GT World Challenge Europe. Its calibre sits between GB4, which is slightly weaker, and W Series, which is a little stronger; it sits well below ADAC Formula 4 in the competitive pyramid.
