W Series was an all-female single-seater sprint championship that ran in 2019, 2021 and 2022 before being discontinued. The series fielded drivers rated as entry-level professionals, stronger than its peer feeder series but notably weaker than the established professional grids of GP3, GT World Challenge Europe and European Le Mans Series into which its graduates moved. Jamie Chadwick was its dominant driver and remains the series' top-rated competitor; other notable graduates include Alice Powell and Bruna Tomaselli. W Series drew drivers from karting and junior single-seater championships while serving as a stepping stone toward sportscar and international single-seater racing; most of its alumni moved into GT racing or prototype endurance championships, though some progressed to F1 Academy and higher single-seater categories. The series has ceased operations.
