🇬🇧 Alice Powell

Alice Powell is a professional single-seater and endurance racing driver competing for Status Grand Prix. She raced primarily in the W Series, a single-class championship for solo drivers, between 2019 and 2022, and made a single appearance in IMSA WeatherTech's GTD class in 2019 driving a GT3 car in shared-driver endurance racing. She holds an FIA Silver grading, the designation for drivers on the way up in sportscar and endurance racing rather than established professionals. Her rating of 4,335 places her at professional level.[1]

Powell took five wins and thirteen podiums across 33 starts. Her most substantial record came in the W Series, where she competed in four seasons between 2019 and 2022 and scored eighteen starts, five wins and thirteen podiums; in 2022 she finished third in the championship standings with one win and four podiums across the six rounds run. In single-seaters, she raced fourteen starts in the GP3 Series across 2012 and 2013 for bamboo engineering, where she became the first woman to score points in the series. Her sole IMSA entry came in 2019 with Heinricher Racing and Meyer Shank Racing.[2]

In the W Series she regularly finished ahead of semi-professional Vicky Piria and entry-level professional Sarah Moore, a Silver-graded driver who had contested twenty W Series starts. The field included drivers across amateur and professional grades. Powell's strongest scalp came against Mitch Evans, an elite professional Platinum-graded driver who has raced 116 Formula E rounds and 77 in GP2, whom she beat four times; she also finished ahead of António Félix da Costa, a Platinum-graded established professional and dual champion of Formula E and the 2022 WEC LMP2 class across 122 Formula E starts and 40 WEC rounds, once.
