🇨🇱 Nico Pino

Nico Pino is a professional endurance racing driver competing in the FIA Silver grading, one step below the full-professional grades in sportscar racing. He races for JDC-Miller MotorSports in IMSA and for Proton Competition in the World Endurance Championship, driving LMP2 and LMP3 prototypes in multiclass endurance grids. His primary experience is in the European Le Mans Series, where he has taken four wins across four seasons with IDEC Sport.[1]

Pino began his career in single-seaters; a season of British F4 in 2020 was followed by two years in Euroformula Open. He transitioned to endurance racing in 2021 and has made 56 starts in multiclass championships since then, predominantly in the European Le Mans Series, IMSA, and WEC. His four wins and five podiums in the European Le Mans Series form the foundation of his record, though podium finishes have been scarcer in the higher-level grids of IMSA and WEC, where he has taken three and two respectively across his tenure. In the 2025 WEC season, currently underway, he sits 23rd in the championship standings after eight rounds.[2]

Pino races regularly against established professionals and champions. He typically finishes behind Malthe Jakobsen, a Gold-graded driver who has won the European Le Mans Series LMP3 title and back-to-back Asian Le Mans titles, and Paul Di Resta, a Platinum-graded former Formula 1 driver with 44 WEC starts. His victories have occasionally come against stronger opposition; he has finished ahead of Sébastien Buemi, a Platinum-graded five-time WEC champion with Formula E and Formula 1 experience, twice in their meetings.
