Formula Renault Eurocup was a sprint single-seater championship that ran Renault-powered cars in European competition. The series has ceased operation. Its field drew established junior professionals and rising drivers stepping up from lower series; Oscar Piastri, Franco Colapinto and Paul Aron stand among its strongest recent competitors. The calibre was comparable to GT World Challenge Europe and slightly weaker than the top single-seater feeder series, though stronger than most of its peer categories. Drivers typically arrived from junior formulae and progressed to either prototype or GT racing, with several moving to the top-tier endurance championships. The series functioned as a mid-tier stepping stone within the junior single-seater ladder.
