🇮🇹 Alessio Deledda

Alessio Deledda is an entry-level professional racing driver competing in GT World Challenge Europe for VSR, where he races a Lamborghini in the Endurance Cup. Graded FIA Silver, he sits below the full professional ranks in endurance racing. His career spans seven seasons from 2018 onwards across open-wheel and touring car championships, with 116 starts accumulated in Formula 4, Formula Renault Eurocup, Formula 3, Formula 2, DTM and international GT racing.[1]

Deledda cut his teeth in Italian F4 in 2018, finishing 25th in the standings. He then raced in Formula 3 across 2019 and 2020 for Campos Racing, a team that has fielded drivers up to generational standard; across both seasons he made 34 starts in the multiclass championship. He contested the Formula Renault Eurocup in 2019 with eight starts, and took two attempts at the Formula 3 Macau Grand Prix in the same year. Formula 2 followed in 2021 with 23 starts across its two classes. He then moved to DTM in 2022 and 2023, where he spent 24 starts in the national German single-class championship racing alongside amateurs, semi-professionals and graded professionals in the same field. His most recent full campaign has been in GT World Challenge Europe, where he has taken six starts so far in the endurance format; he also contested a single IMSA WeatherTech race in 2023.[2]

Throughout his career Deledda has regularly faced elite and established professionals. He has finished ahead of Liam Lawson, an FIA Platinum driver and Formula 1 racer, twice; Lawson is a regular opponent against whom Deledda more often finishes behind. He has also beaten Oscar Piastri once, the generational champion of Formula 3, Formula 2 and the Formula Renault Eurocup, though Piastri's 51 Formula 1 starts show the gap in their subsequent trajectories. His record against Bent Viscaal, an established professional in Formula 3, Formula 2 and ELMS endurance racing, has favoured Viscaal in their regular meetings.
