🇳🇱 Bent Viscaal

Bent Viscaal is an established professional racing driver, FIA Gold-graded, competing in multiclass endurance racing. He races prototypes for Proton Competition in the European Le Mans Series and WEC, where he shares his LMP2 car with teammates across a series mixing amateurs and graded professionals. He holds a rating of 5,003, placing him among established professionals on the Elo scale.[1]

His career spans seven seasons from 2019 to 2025 across single-seater and endurance disciplines. In Formula 3 and Formula 2 he took two podiums each, with one win among his 57 single-seater starts for MP Motorsport and Trident. His focus shifted to endurance racing in 2022, where he has driven 31 starts across the European Le Mans Series and WEC; his record there comprises one win and six podiums from 20 ELMS starts, and 11 WEC appearances. He was named the European Le Mans Series Rookie of the Year in 2022. A move to IMSA WeatherTech in the GTP class added six starts in 2024, sharing a Mustang Sampling hybrid prototype.[2]

In the ELMS he typically races among a field that includes international professionals and former Formula drivers; he has finished ahead of Oscar Piastri, the 2021 Formula 2 champion and a generational talent now in Formula 1, four times across their shared single-seater seasons. Against his regular ELMS and WEC opponents he sits mid-field, usually trailing Liam Lawson, an elite professional who has raced through to Formula 1, but consistently ahead of entry-level professionals such as Alessio Deledda across their overlapping campaigns.
