🇬🇪 Alexander Abkhazava

Alexander Abkhazava is an entry-level professional single-seater driver, racing solo in single-class championship competition. He currently drives for MP Motorsport in the Formula Regional European Championship, a category whose field runs from amateur and semi-professional entrants up to graded professionals in the same race. His most-raced season came earlier with Drivex School in Spanish F4.[1]

Abkhazava's record covers two seasons. In 2023 he ran a full season of Spanish F4 with Drivex School across eighteen starts, finishing 20th in the championship standings. He moved up to Formula Regional European for 2026 with MP Motorsport, and through the early rounds of a season still in progress has already taken a podium finish.[2]

His regular opposition in these fields has included Théophile Naël, champion of the 2023 Spanish F4 title and a driver with Formula 3 experience, and Pedro Clerot, an established professional with extensive Formula Regional European mileage; Abkhazava usually finishes behind both, though he has beaten Naël once, and has also finished ahead of Italian F4 and Formula 3 racer Hiyu Yamakoshi on one occasion. Drivex School, his 2023 team, is a small outfit without a race win recorded in the index, its strongest driver to date being established professional Joshua Dürksen.
