Sebastian Fernandez is a retired professional single-seater driver who raced across five seasons from 2016 to 2020. He competed primarily in Italian Formula 4, where he took six wins and finished fourth in the 2017 championship, alongside campaigns in Formula 3 and its FIA-sanctioned European variant, Formula Renault Eurocup, and the Macau Formula 3 Grand Prix. His rating of 4,825 places him at professional level, a driver who competed regularly against graded professionals and established peers across a field mixing amateurs with entry-level pros.[1]
Fernandez took six wins across 117 starts, all in Italian F4 during 2016 and 2017 with Bhaitech. His strongest season came in 2017 Italian F4, where he won five races and took five podiums to finish fourth in the championship. His single podium outside Italian F4 came in Formula Renault Eurocup in 2019. In FIA Formula 3 European he made 25 starts for Motopark without reaching the podium, and he fielded 34 starts across two seasons in Formula 3 for ART Grand Prix without recording a finish in the points.[2]
Among the drivers Fernandez regularly faced, he typically finished behind Juri Vips, an established professional and 2017 ADAC Formula 4 champion, though he finished ahead of Federico Malvestiti, an entry-level professional competitor who appeared regularly across Italian F4 and Formula 3. He beat Oscar Piastri, the generational talent who would become Formula 2 champion, on three occasions, and Alex Palou, the elite professional and four-time IndyCar champion, twice in their respective races against each other.
