Formula V8 3.5 was a single-seater sprint series that ran open-wheel cars in the international formula racing ladder. The series is no longer active. Its field held established professionals and young drivers progressing toward top categories; Álex Palou, Jack Aitken and Tom Dillmann represented the calibre at the upper end. Drivers arrived most often from Formula Renault Eurocup and the Formula 3 Euro Series, both peer or development categories, and moved principally toward sportscar racing in the WEC and IMSA WeatherTech. The field was marginally weaker than the Formula 3 Euro Series and slightly stronger than Formula Renault Eurocup, sitting between those two pathways in the progression toward international racing.
