The Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge USA by Yokohama is a sprint championship for Porsche GT3 Cup cars fielded in two classes separated by driver professional standing. The professional GT3P class, containing mostly Silver-graded drivers with a handful of Gold and Bronze entrants, competes alongside the GT3G gentleman-driver class, which is predominantly Bronze-graded. The field is entry-level professional in calibre; Fred Poordad and Zacharie Robichon lead a roster drawn substantially from club racing and lower regional series. The championship receives drivers from Porsche's peer one-make cup and from club competition, and it feeds competitors upward into IMSA's WeatherTech and Pilot Challenge grids and into Porsche Carrera Cup NA, functioning as a stepping stone within the Porsche ecosystem and into broader professional sportscar racing.
