Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge USA by Yokohama is a sprint series for Porsche GT3 cars, fielding a professional and amateur class structure divided by driver standing. The professional GT3P class runs predominantly Silver-rated drivers with some Bronze and a Gold-rated professional; the amateur GT3G class runs Bronze-rated amateurs alongside a handful of Silver and Gold drivers. The field is entry-level professional in calibre, anchored by drivers such as Fred Poordad and Zacharie Robichon. Drivers arrive chiefly from peer Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge and lower-tier club and regional racing; they move on primarily to IMSA WeatherTech, a considerably stronger field, and to Porsche Carrera Cup NA and IMSA Prototype Challenge at comparable or modestly higher levels.
