Michael de Quesada is an entry-level professional racing in national multiclass endurance series, holding an FIA Silver grade. He races primarily for Alegra Motorsports in IMSA WeatherTech and IMSA Pilot Challenge, driving GT3 and GT4 production-based sports cars in shared-driver formats. He is currently active in Porsche Carrera Cup NA, piloting a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car in solo sprint racing.[1]
Over nine seasons from 2016 onward, de Quesada has taken three wins and seven podiums across 51 starts. His record centers on IMSA's endurance grids, where he has started 21 times in WeatherTech's GTD class and 12 times in Pilot Challenge's GS class, accumulating one win and three podiums in the former and one win and a single podium in the latter. He won from pole position in the 2024 4 Hours of Mid-Ohio in Pilot Challenge. Earlier success came in Porsche single-car racing, where he won once in the GT3 Cup Challenge and took two podiums across six starts in 2016 and 2017. His current Carrera Cup campaign spans nine starts in the Pro class.[2]
De Quesada races regularly against Gold-graded professionals in endurance fields that mix amateurs with established competitors. He runs closely with Robby Foley, a multiple champion across IMSA Pilot Challenge and GT World Challenge America who has significantly more endurance racing experience, and typically finishes behind Jeff Westphal, another Gold-graded regular in both IMSA series. He has finished ahead of Kyle Kirkwood, an elite professional with an Indy NXT title and extensive IndyCar experience, and Austin Cindric, an established professional and former NASCAR Xfinity champion, on separate occasions across their overlapping IMSA starts.
