Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge is a sprint series fielding Porsche GT3 cars in a four-class structure. The professional class GT3CP contains the field's strongest contingent, anchored by established drivers including Fred Poordad and Zacharie Robichon; the intermediate GT3P and GT3G classes step down to entry-level professional and semi-professional calibre respectively, while the gentleman GT3CG class sits at the amateur end. The roster is mixed in professional standing, with a small core of full professionals alongside semi-professionals, amateurs and ungraded drivers split across the classes. The series functions as a stepping stone upward from club and regional racing into the IMSA professional structure, though established drivers also arrive from IMSA to compete, and some graduates move on to Porsche Carrera Cup NA or back into IMSA's secondary categories.
