SCCA Majors is a multi-class sprint series running production cars, single-seaters, and purpose-built sports racing prototypes across roughly two dozen classes. The strongest classes are the spec Mazda MX-5 categories and Formula Enterprise, with fields of established amateur racers; the full series field is competitive amateur, anchored by drivers including Alex Barron and James Davison. The series draws drivers from SCCA Regionals, SCCA Runoffs and NASA, sitting marginally stronger than all three of those peer competitors and materially stronger than SVRA. Drivers progress upward to SCCA Regionals, SVRA, IMSA Pilot Challenge and NASA, or sideways to GT4 America, indicating that SCCA Majors functions as both a stepping stone and a destination where accomplished club racers consolidate their skills across multiple disciplines before seeking professional opportunity.
