Alex Kirby is an entry-level professional driver, FIA Silver graded, who raced primarily in IMSA's national sprint and endurance championships in the United States. He competed for Performance Tech Motorsports in the IMSA VP Racing SportsCar Challenge, piloting LMP3 prototypes in the P3 class across 14 starts in 2023 and 2024. He also made one appearance in IMSA's top-tier WeatherTech series in an LMP3 entry and ran a full season in Formula Regional Americas in 2022.[1]

Kirby took five podiums from his 14 starts in the VP Racing SportsCar Challenge, his primary indexed racing. In Formula Regional Americas, a single-class championship mixing amateurs and professionals, he completed a full season of 12 starts without scoring a podium. His career spans four seasons indexed from 2021 onward; his most recent activity was in SCCA Regionals in 2022, where he finished ninth in the championship standings after competing in two rounds.[2]

In the competitive fields he entered, Kirby regularly faced professional drivers graded Silver and Bronze. Against his most frequent opponents, he typically finished behind Ryan Yardley and Nick Persing, both established professionals with extensive racing records across multiple series at professional and semi-professional levels. He scored isolated victories over professionals including Dan Goldburg and Aaron Jeansonne, each with dozens of starts in national IMSA and club racing. Performance Tech Motorsports, which fielded him for the majority of his starts, has won 41 races across its entire operation and fielded drivers ranging from club competitors to elite professionals such as Pato O'Ward.
