Cody Ware is a professional stock-car driver racing full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series for Rick Ware Racing, where he drives the No. 51 Chevrolet. A third-generation racing driver and son of team owner Rick Ware, he holds an FIA Silver grading in endurance racing and has competed across NASCAR's national series alongside part-time ventures in IndyCar, IMSA sportscars and Mazda Cup racing since 2014.[1]

Over thirteen seasons, Ware has accumulated 176 starts in the NASCAR Cup Series, predominantly on oval tracks, alongside 28 Xfinity starts, seven Truck Series starts, and three each in IndyCar and IMSA VP Racing SportsCar Challenge, where he scored a podium finish in 2024. His experience spans single-seater and multiclass sportscar racing, though his primary record is in stock cars. His lone podium came in the IMSA VP Racing SportsCar Challenge, a national pro-am multiclass series.[2]

Ware typically finishes behind the established professionals who form his regular opposition in NASCAR. He has raced against Daniel Suárez, the 2016 NASCAR Xfinity champion and a 341-start Cup Series regular, and Ross Chastain, an established professional with over 600 NASCAR starts across three national series, on multiple occasions without regularly beating either. He has finished ahead of Denny Hamlin, an elite professional with 343 Cup starts, on twenty-one occasions across their shared races.
