Andreas Weishaupt is a retired professional driver who raced in multiclass endurance championships, sharing GT4 and modified production-based race cars with co-drivers in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie and the international 24H Series. He holds an FIA Bronze grade, the amateur classification in sportscar racing. His main team was BLACK FALCON Team Reissdorf Alkoholfrei Porsche.[1]
Weishaupt raced across eight seasons from 2011 to 2019, with 30 starts yielding three wins and 14 podiums. The bulk of his career was spent in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie, where he made 28 starts for Car Collection Motorsport between 2011 and 2016, taking all three of his wins and 14 podiums in that series. He finished 32nd in the 2016 championship standings in his final season. In 2018 and 2019 he made two starts in the international 24H Series for BWT Muecke Motorsport, racing GT3 machinery in the A6-PRO class.[2]
In the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie, a field mixing amateurs and semi-professionals with graded professionals in the same races, Weishaupt regularly finished ahead of entry-level professionals including FIA Silver-graded Robin Chrzanowski and fellow Bronze-graded Andreas Ziegler, both of whom were regular Nürburgring competitors with substantially more starts in the series. He finished ahead of established professional Katsumasa Chiyo of Super GT in at least one endurance race, and shared the track with Dries Vanthoor, a three-time GT World Challenge Europe champion and FIA Platinum driver, in multiclass endurance racing.
