Aqil Alibhai is an entry-level professional single-seater driver from South Africa. He raced in British F4 and GB4, competing in a mixed amateur and professional field in the United Kingdom between 2022 and 2023. He drove for Virtuosi Racing in British F4, one of the stronger operations on the grid with established professionals including Jack Doohan among its roster.[1]
Alibhai took 28 starts across his indexed seasons, scoring one win and three podiums. His sole victory came in British F4, where he completed 26 starts over the full 2023 season. He finished 15th in the GB4 championship standings in 2022 after two rounds. Against the regular opponents he met most often, he typically finished behind William Macintyre and Deagen Fairclough, both of whom had professional-level experience and significantly deeper single-seater résumés; Fairclough went on to win the 2024 British F4 championship. Alibhai finished ahead of Freddie Slater three times and Griffin Peebles four times, both established professionals who would go on to race in higher formulae and sports cars.[2]
