Liam Griffin is a British racing driver who competed in the World Endurance Championship between 2015 and 2018. He made four starts in the series, all in LMGTE Am machinery for JMW Motorsport and Aston Martin Racing, without recording a podium finish. His most recent race was the 2018 WEC round, where he finished 37th.[1]
Griffin raced against a field of accomplished professional drivers in the FIA-graded sportscar ranks. His head-to-head record against repeated rivals was mixed; he finished ahead of Christian Ried and Khaled Al Qubaisi on occasion but consistently trailed Patrick Long, Rui Aguas, Emmanuel Collard and François Perrodo across multiple encounters. On isolated occasions he finished ahead of significantly stronger competitors including Jörg Bergmeister and Olivier Beretta, though these results do not form a pattern. His average finishing position across classified starts was 6.3, indicating occasional competitiveness in his field but no sustained performance level.[2]
Griffin's WEC participation was limited to four races across four seasons, suggesting his motorsport career was secondary to other pursuits. Prior to and during his racing years, he held senior positions in the minicab services industry, serving as CEO of Addison Lee for a decade and later overseeing a management buyout. He is now retired from racing.
