Arjan van der Zwaan is a retired professional driver from the Netherlands who raced in the FIA GT Championship between 2002 and 2009. He competed in shared-car endurance racing, driving for Full Speed Racing Team across his 22 starts in the series; for 13 of those starts he also raced for Zwaan's Racing, a small operation he was associated with throughout his career.[1]
Van der Zwaan spent seven seasons in the FIA GT Championship, a multiclass endurance grid mixing amateurs and professionals. His final season, in 2009, saw him finish 29th in the championship standings from a single round entered. Across his career he finished ahead of Michael Bartels twice, a two-time FIA GT Champion who went on to win the title in 2006, 2008 and 2009, and beat Fabrizio Gollin once, the 2004 FIA GT Champion. He was closely matched with the established professional Bert Longin but usually finished behind Christian Ried, a driver who would go on to win multiple WEC titles.[2]
