Bob Faieta is a professional driver who raced in national multiclass championships in the United States. His indexed career spans two seasons from 2007 to 2014, with four starts total. He drove for GB Autosport in IMSA WeatherTech and competed in NASA's Super Unlimited class, where closed-wheel cars of any power level race together.[1]
Faieta won his only indexed race in NASA in 2007, finishing sixth in the championship standings that season. His IMSA WeatherTech campaign came seven years later with three starts for GB Autosport in 2014. Across both series he finished on the podium once.[2]
His racing put him against established professionals; he finished ahead of Brendon Hartley, a Formula 1 driver and two-time WEC champion, once, and beat Kevin Estre once as well. More often he finished behind both drivers when they competed together. Hartley and Estre represent the calibre of the field Faieta raced in, a mix of amateurs and professionals sharing the same grid.
