Barry Horne is a retired British racing driver whose single season of competitive racing came in the 2015 British Touring Car Championship. Competing for Dextra Racing, he made three starts in the championship but did not score a podium finish. His average finishing position across classified results was 16.5th.[1]
Despite the brief nature of his BTCC campaign, Horne demonstrated the ability to compete against drivers of considerably higher standing. He finished ahead of Josh Cook, an FIA Silver graded professional; Rob Austin, a mid-tier professional competitor; Robb Holland, a Bronze graded driver and former champion; and James Cole, another established professional in the series. These results, though isolated instances from a limited sample, show that Horne was competitive with the field around him at the time of his entry into the championship.[2]
Horne has not raced competitively since 2015 and remains retired from motorsport.
