Brian Smith is a semi-professional racing driver from Argentina competing in a range of single-class and multiclass championships across three decades. He races primarily in NASA's national multiclass series, where he has competed in Spec Miata and Super Touring 3 classes, and most recently entered the World Racing League in 2026 with Wheelhouse Motorsports.[1]

Smith's career spans from 1996 to the present, beginning with a start in Formula 3 Macau and progressing through International Formula 3000, where he made eight starts for Monaco Motorsport between 1998 and 1999. He competed in NASCAR Xfinity once in 1998 before joining Torino for an eleven-start campaign in Turismo Carretera in 2013. His most substantial indexed racing came in NASA from 2016 to 2019, where he took one win and three podiums across seven starts. His 2026 World Racing League season is still in progress, with one round completed; he currently sits 21st in the championship standings.[2]

In the fields Smith has raced, he has finished behind semi-professional regulars including Gaston Mazzacane and FIA Platinum-graded Norberto Fontana, both of whom have accumulated hundreds of starts in touring cars and single-seaters. He has beaten established professionals including Oliver Martini, an International Formula 3000 driver, twice, and once finished ahead of Tony Stewart, the 1997 IndyCar champion and a 94-time NASCAR Xfinity starter.
