David Fumanelli is a professional endurance racing driver rated at 3,484 on the Elo scale. He holds an FIA Gold grading, the second-tier professional classification in sportscar and endurance racing. His primary team is Kessel Racing, for which he has completed 20 of his 50 career starts across multiple series.[1]

Fumanelli's racing spans a decade from 2012 to the present. He began in single-seaters with 23 starts in GP3 Series across 2012 and 2013, taking one podium for Trident. His endurance career started later; he raced GT World Challenge Europe from 2019 onward in shared-drive GT3 cars, recording 16 starts. In the 24H Series multiclass championship from 2022 to 2025, he took two podiums from seven starts in GT3, racing in grids that mixed amateurs with professionals across eleven classes. He also contested the Asian Le Mans Series once in 2023 and started his first IMSA WeatherTech rounds in 2025. A single Le Mans Cup start in 2020 yielded a 14th-place finish in the season standings.[2]

In his regular endurance company, Fumanelli typically finishes behind established professionals such as Patric Niederhauser, a Platinum-graded driver with extensive experience across GT World Challenge Europe, GP3 and ADAC GT Masters. Against Aaro Vainio, another regular opponent who holds a Silver grade and has raced 41 GP3 starts and the Formula Renault Eurocup, Fumanelli has similarly trailed. His most notable results came in shorter-form racing; he finished ahead of Mitch Evans three times across their meetings in GP3, and once ahead of Carlos Sainz, a former Formula V8 3.5 champion and Formula 1 driver.
