Gio Scelzi is an entry-level professional who raced stock cars in a single season across the ARCA Menards national championships and regional series in 2020. He drove a single-class oval racing car for NAPA Auto Parts and Curb Records, a team fielding him across 15 starts in the West, Series, and East divisions.[1]

That sole indexed season produced one win and five podiums. His victory came in the ARCA Menards West, the regional series where he made 11 starts and took four additional podium finishes. He completed three rounds of the national ARCA Menards Series championship, where he finished 28th in the final standings, alongside a single start in the East division. The field across these championships mixed amateur and semi-professional drivers with graded professionals in the same races.[2]

Among his regular opponents were Jesse Love, an established professional and three-time ARCA Menards West champion who went on to win the 2023 ARCA Menards Series and the 2025 NASCAR Xfinity championship, and Gracie Trotter, an entry-level professional competitor. Scelzi finished ahead of Love on four occasions and beat established professional Taylor Gray, who has raced 74 NASCAR Xfinity rounds and 57 truck races, on three separate starts.
