Hironori Takeuchi is a professional racing driver who competed in Super GT, Japan's premier multiclass endurance championship. He raced in the GT300 class, sharing a car with co-drivers across a mix of FIA GT3 machinery and Japanese-built GT300 specials. His primary team was Okinawa-Imp Racing with Shift.[1]
Takeuchi recorded 19 starts across Super GT from 2012 to 2016, taking three podium finishes. His best championship finish came in 2016, when he placed 20th in the GT300 standings over two rounds. He proved closely matched against two of the grid's most regular professionals: he split results with Hiroki Katoh, an FIA Bronze-graded driver with over 120 Super GT starts, and finished ahead of Shinichi Takagi nine times, a two-time GT300 champion despite Takagi's superior experience and grading.[2]
