Jeff Hinkle is a club-level driver racing solo in national amateur and semi-professional multiclass championships in the United States. He has competed across NASA, Trans-Am, the Porsche Sprint Challenge North America, and SCCA series since 2014, most recently in Trans-Am in 2022 where he finished 12th in the championship standings across two rounds.[1]

His record spans eight seasons and 24 starts with one win and three podiums. He took a podium in NASA's Spec E30 class in 2014 and another in the SCCA Runoffs GT1 class in 2021. His single win came in 2022 in the SCCA Majors GT1 class, a field of 25 classes mixing amateurs and professionals. His Trans-Am appearances in 2019 and 2022 produced no top finishes across six starts; the stronger machinery and tighter fields of single-make and professional-focused series have not yielded results at his level.[2]

Hinkle races regularly against Rob Eskew, a semi-professional who won the NASA Spec E30 championship in 2016 and has extensive single-seater experience; he typically finishes behind Eskew. He has occasionally faced stronger drivers; he finished ahead of Chris Dyson, a four-time Trans-Am TA champion, once in their meetings, and ahead of Boris Said, an entry-level professional, once as well. These remain isolated results against much stronger company rather than a pattern of competitiveness at that level. His steadiest work has been in the broader amateur multiclass grids where he competes among fields including both developing drivers and established professionals.
