Joël Janco is an entry-level professional, FIA Bronze, who raced prototype machinery in national American motorsport series. He spent five seasons from 2016 to 2020 in IMSA's sprint and endurance championships, primarily in the Prototype Challenge and Mazda Prototype Lites, driving LMP3 prototypes and Mazda-powered Elan DP02 cars for teams including JDC Motorsports and Forty7 Motorsports. He also contested two endurance races in the Le Mans Cup and Road to Le Mans.[1]
Across 40 starts he took one win and three podiums. His sole victory came in the IMSA Prototype Challenge, where he made 22 starts for Forty7 Motorsports between 2017 and 2020. His eleven starts in IMSA Mazda Prototype Lites in 2016 yielded no podiums, and his five endurance entries in the Le Mans Cup produced no top-three finishes.[2]
