Kevin O'Connell was a professional stock car racing driver competing in single-class and multiclass national championships in the United States. He raced NASA's American Stock Car class, driving NASCAR-style late model stock cars, and made eight NASCAR Xfinity starts for Rick Ware Racing between 2005 and 2015. His career spanned seven seasons on the indexed record.[1]

O'Connell took four podiums across 16 starts, all but one coming in his first two years of racing. In NASA, he finished on the podium three times from eight starts. His NASCAR Xfinity career yielded one podium from eight starts, with seven of those starts coming on road and street courses. His most recent activity was two rounds in the 2015 NASCAR Xfinity season, where he finished 37th in the championship standings.[2]

His racing placed him among professionals and semi-professionals sharing the grid with drivers of established credentials. He finished ahead of Chase Elliott, who would become a Platinum-graded professional and 2014 NASCAR Xfinity champion, and Daniel Suárez, who won the 2016 NASCAR Xfinity championship. Against his most frequent opponents in NASA, he usually finished behind 2006 American Stock Car champion Ken Stinnett and ran closely with Jeffrey Glowniak.
