🇦🇹 Marco Seefried

Marco Seefried is a professional endurance racing driver, FIA Silver graded, racing primarily in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie for Hankook Competition in modified production-based and Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport machinery. He is active across multiple multiclass endurance championships, having also raced in the WEC, IMSA WeatherTech, 24H Series and GT World Challenge Europe.[1]

Over sixteen seasons since 2010, Seefried has compiled 90 starts across six series with 9 wins and 18 podiums. His main success came early in his career: he won the 2010 Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie championship with Car #173. His most extensive record is in that series, where he has taken 7 wins and 11 podiums from 50 starts. He contested the WEC from 2015 to 2021 for Absolute Racing, taking one win and three podiums in 12 starts, and finished tenth in the 2021 championship standings. His other major appearances include twelve starts in IMSA WeatherTech, eight starts in the 24H Series where he won once and podiumed three times, and outings in the Nürburgring 24 Hours and GT World Challenge Europe.[2]

Seefried regularly races against Christopher Haase, a Platinum-graded professional and GT World Challenge Europe regular with over 140 starts at that level, and finishes closely matched with him. He usually runs behind Frank Stippler, also Platinum graded and the 2021 Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie SP 9 Pro champion with 107 starts in that series. He has twice finished ahead of Max Verstappen and once ahead of António Félix da Costa, the 2019 Formula E champion and WEC LMP2 champion, on the shared grids where their careers have intersected.
