Jonathon Fogarty is an American racing driver who competed in endurance sportscar racing. His only season on record came in 2015, when he made eight starts in the World Endurance Championship for Extreme Speed Motorsports. He finished sixteenth in points with no wins or podium finishes, averaging seventh place across his classified starts.[1]
Fogarty's WEC season placed him against drivers of considerable professional standing. He shared the grid with FIA Platinum-graded competitors including Sam Bird, a two-time champion, and Mikhail Aleshin, finishing ahead of both men on isolated occasions. He also raced wheel-to-wheel with multiple FIA Gold-graded professionals, among them Roman Rusinov and Gustavo Yacaman, each a multi-time champion in their respective categories. Against this experienced field, Fogarty compiled a consistent losing record; he finished behind Sam Bird in six of their seven shared races, behind Rusinov in six of seven, and behind Yacaman in all six encounters. His Racer Rating of 3,383 reflects the calibre of a developing professional driver competing at the elite endurance level but without the results to establish himself at the front of that field.[2]
