Michael Hess is a competitive amateur endurance racing driver who races in the national German Nürburgring championships. He drove primarily for PROsport-Racing across twelve seasons from 2011 to 2023, competing in both the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie and the Nürburgring 24 Hours in various classes including BMW one-make cup cars and GT4 machinery. The 2023 Nürburgring 24 Hours marked his most recent appearance.[1]
Hess scored two podiums across seventeen starts in multiclass endurance racing; one came in the Langstrecken-Serie and one in the 24-hour race itself. His record shows consistent participation in a mixed field that runs from amateurs to graded professionals sharing cars across full-distance events. He regularly finished ahead of Recep Sari, a fellow competitive amateur, and occasionally outfinished established professionals; he beat Tim Heinemann, a professional driver with twelve DTM starts and seven GT World Challenge Europe appearances, twice across their meetings.[2]
