Nicolás Cotignola is a semi-professional racing driver competing in Argentine stock car racing. He has spent most of his career with Torino, the team that backed him to the 2016 TC Pista championship, and continues to race for them in Turismo Carretera, Argentina's premier single-driver touring car series, where the field mixes amateurs, semi-professionals and graded professionals in the same races.[1]
Cotignola won the TC Pista title in 2016 after five wins across four seasons in that championship from 2013 to 2016. He has since moved into Turismo Carretera, where he has raced since 2017 without adding to his win tally. His 128 starts across both series have yielded five wins and six podiums. He remains active in Turismo Carretera; through four rounds of the 2026 season, he has taken part in the championship's campaign so far.[2]
In Turismo Carretera, Cotignola races against the full spectrum of Argentine touring car talent. His most frequent opponent is Gastón Ferrante, a semi-professional contemporary who competes at his level. He regularly finishes behind Juan José Ebarlín, an entry-level professional with significantly more Turismo Carretera mileage. He has on occasion beaten Agustín Canapino, a professional and multiple Turismo Carretera champion, though Canapino has finished ahead of him far more often across their meetings in the series. His record against Franco Vivian, a professional in TC Pista, showed him capable of beating that level when both raced in that championship.
