Randy Tissot was a professional stock car driver competing in NASCAR's national oval-track championships during the early 1980s. He raced in NASCAR Xfinity, a single-class series that fields drivers across amateur, semi-professional and professional grades on a national circuit.[1]
Tissot made 10 starts in NASCAR Xfinity across 1982 and 1983, finishing 43rd in the championship standings over that span. He regularly encountered established professionals including 1983 and 1984 Xfinity champion Sam Ard and Dale Arnold Jarrett, a driver who would go on to 329 starts in the series. Tissot finished ahead of Ard in four meetings and also beat Mark Martin, a professional driver who competed extensively in Xfinity with a Bronze FIA grading. These results placed him among occasional scalps taken by the field's mid-tier competitors rather than showing consistent strength against the series' front-runners.[2]
