Jim Norman is a Bronze-graded amateur driver who competed in multiclass endurance racing across three series between 2014 and 2021. He raced GT4 machinery in the international 24H Series, shared GT4 and production cars in the national IMSA WeatherTech Championship, and drove an Am-class Lamborghini in the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo. His primary ride was with Park Place Motorsports in IMSA, where he made six starts over two seasons.[1]
Norman took a single podium finish across nine total starts, which came in the 24H Series in 2021 while driving for Team ACP. In his IMSA campaign with Park Place Motorsports between 2014 and 2015, he was a regular in a field mixing amateurs with FIA-graded professionals. He typically finished behind Ian James, a Gold-graded professional with extensive international endurance racing credentials, and behind Christian Fittipaldi, an established professional and former Formula 1 driver who won the 2014 IMSA WeatherTech title. Norman did finish ahead of Brendon Hartley, an established professional and multiple WEC champion, on two occasions, and ahead of Sam Bird, also an established professional with international single-seater and endurance racing experience, once.[2]
