Ecklin completed three seasons in the series, contested seven rounds of racing in his final year, and finished 31st in the 2019 championship standings. His record placed him closely matched with Alan Brynjolfsson, a professional opponent who would later win the GS class championship in 2022, though he typically ran behind Trent Hindman, the 2019 WeatherTech GTD champion and a far more experienced driver with 75 Pilot Challenge starts across multiple series. Ecklin finished ahead of Chase Briscoe, an elite professional and 2016 ARCA champion who had moved into NASCAR's national series, on two occasions, and beat Russell Ward, a 2024 and 2025 WeatherTech GTD champion, five times across their meetings in shared endurance fields.[2]
