Thomas Gruber holds a Racer Rating of 1,715, placing him in club racing; this level describes drivers competing in regional and club events against fields that do not consistently include professional racers. His record spans four seasons from 2020 to 2023, with six starts across PCA Club Racing and International GT competition. He finished on the podium in every race he completed, averaging second place, and won five of his six starts.[1]
In PCA Club Racing from 2020 to 2022, Gruber won four of five races and took the podium in all five. His most active period came in 2022, when he won twice and claimed two podiums in two rounds. His single International GT start in 2023 yielded a win. Against regular rivals in shared races, Gruber held a 3โ1 advantage over Joe Bank, a developing-level competitor, and a 2โ1 edge over Vernon McClure, a NASA Super Touring 3 champion and semi-professional driver. On individual occasions, Gruber finished ahead of several stronger drivers: Matt Halcome, an FIA Bronze-graded Porsche Carrera Cup champion; Tadas Karlinskas, an FIA Silver-graded Lamborghini Super Trofeo champion; Reg Williams, an established professional; and Pedro Torres, an FIA Bronze-graded driver. These were isolated results rather than sustained competitive patterns.
Gruber retired from racing after 2022 and has not competed since.
