🇩🇪 Winfried Assmann

Winfried Assmann is a competitive amateur racing in national multiclass endurance championships at the Nürburgring. He raced Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport and BMW one-make cup cars in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie across six starts between 2013 and 2019, primarily for Schmickler Performance powered by Ravenol Porsche, before making a single start in the Nürburgring 24 Hours in 2019 for Car #306.[1]

His record spans seven starts and one podium finish. The podium came in the Nürburgring 24 Hours, where he shared a Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport in the CUP 3 class. In the Langstrecken-Serie he raced across three classes; the machinery and field composition varied with each outing, ranging from near-standard production cars in the V6 class to purpose-built single-make machinery.[2]

Assmann raced regularly against Philipp Leisen, an entry-level professional and multiple Langstrecken-Serie champion, and David Ackermann, another competitive amateur; the two drivers were closely matched. He also finished ahead of Noah Nagelsdiek and Moritz Kranz, both professionals with significant experience in the series and internationally. Kranz was a three-time Cup 3 champion in the Langstrecken-Serie.
