SCCA Regionals is a club-racing sprint series run across more than fifty classes, ranging from economy-car one-make cups and Formula Vee through to silhouette and production-based GT and touring machinery. The strongest class, ITJ, sits at the top; below that are single-make and performance-focused classes including various generations of Mazda Miatas, Formula Mazda, and spec sports racers. The series draws drivers at all levels from club racing through to established semi-professionals; Jim Hall and Peter Dempsey rank among the current field's strongest. Most of SCCA Regionals' competitors arrive from neighbouring SCCA series, NASA, and club racing, and many move up into SCCA Majors or the SCCA Runoffs once they have progressed through regional competition.
